Chrstmas with Meemaw & Papa Wybiral

After we had Christmas with the Jackson's we headed over to my Meemaw & Papa Wybiral's house. They had a fried turkey & all the other trimmings of a christmas dinner & boy was it YUMMY! After dinner we opened gifts, again. I'm sure the girls thought they were in heaven with all the gifts they had been opening all day. We had a great time with Meemaw & Papa too! We love you guys!

Christmas with Meemaw & Papa Jackson (& Family)

On Saturday, Dec. 20 we had Christmas with my grandparents. We went over to their house & had brunch & then opened gifts. We had such a great time seeing everyone. However, we didn't get to spend enough time visiting with everyone. I feel like Christmas's with our extended family seems to keep getting shorter & shorter which makes me so sad! I can remember being in Wichita Falls for what seemed like a week & now we're lucky if we get to see everyone for a few hours. I guess that's what happens when you grow up & have families of your own. We loved getting to see everyone & we can't wait to see you again! We love you!

Festival of Lights

Last Friday we went to Wichita Falls to have an early Christmas with my grandparents (both sides), aunts, uncles, & cousins. We decided to take the girls to Midwestern State University to see their christmas light show. This is something my family would do every christmas. The decorations all looked like they did 20 years ago which brought back a lot of memories for me. Enjoy some of our pictures.

Cookies with Grandma & Granna

On Dec. 16 we went over to Johanthan's grandma's house to bake cookies. The girls were so excited to see Grandma & "paint" cookies. Johnathan's mom came over to help too. The girls had such a good time! How blessed we are to have all of the girls great-grandma's living & in good health!

Surprise!!!

I am so excited about the news I am about to share with you. Are you ready for it? In the past 4 weeks I have read not 1 but 2 books. (Not the news you expected huh! You guys are crazy for even thinking it!) Even better, they were both over 200 pages!! I haven't read a book from front to back since my senior year in high school (which was 10 years ago). For those of you who know me know that I'm not much of a book reader. I usually fall asleep after the first 2 or 3 pages or I just can't find the time to do it. However, these 2 books I read were Christmas related & just pulled me in. I would highly recommend them. I am trying to decide if I want to commit to reading The Shack. I have been told by a lot of people it is the best book they have ever read, however, the first little bit of the book is tough to get through. We will see. Johnathan has tomorrow through next Tuesday off so I might try to sneak away & read it. The 2 books I read are below.

Out on the Town

We decided not to exchange Christmas gifts with my sister & brother (& their spouses) this year. We thought it would be more fun to go out to dinner with them. Our friend Kim (who actually used to babysit us) came into town to watch all 4 of the girls. They always have so much fun with her! Thanks again Kim for wanting to do that for us!!! We ended up at Outback where I had the most wonderful drink ever! It was a Smoretini & it was YUMMY!!! After dinner we headed over to Starbucks for some after dinner drinks to counter-act the smoretini . We had such a great time with everyone!

Christmas with Nana & Grandad

We had Christmas with my parents a little early this year. We all went to dinner at Napolis & then headed over to my parents new house for presents. We were blown away with everything we received; they always go over & above for everyone! Thank you for all you did for us Mom & Dad! We love you guys! Enjoy the pictures.

Christmas Cookies!

Here are a few pictures of the girls making Christmas Cookies. They had so much fun!! There is no telling how much of the sugar & icing actually made it onto the cookies. Next year we need to remember to start decorating cookies in the morning so that they have time to wind down from all the sugar by bed time. Enjoy!
