The Leonhart Family: An Impromptu Trip!

I feel like I have to preface this blog with a little known fact about Johnathan & me. If you know us very well, you know that we are planners. The idea of going on a trip for us requires at least 2 days notice (at the very minimum) no matter how far away it is. That being said, you might enjoy reading about our little "impromptu trip".

We had talked about wanting to go out to North Carolina to see my Aunt & Uncle this summer for a week or so but decided against it because Johnathan didn't have a job. That being said, Johnathan was offered a job on Friday, September 11th that would start on Monday, September 21st. Since he wasn't going to start for almost a week and a half, we decided on that Saturday night at 10 pm to load everything up the next morning & drive 20 hours to North Carolina. Crazy? YEP!!! Worth it? Every bit of it!!! We decided to keep it a secret from my Aunt & Uncle as well as my grandparents, who were up there for my cousin's wedding. We called my cousin Brian to ask if we could stay with him & his wife & to make sure they were in for the whole surprise. We left home at 1 pm on Sunday afternoon & made it to Memphis, TN at midnight. The next day we left Memphis at 10 am & made it to my Aunt & Uncle's house around 9 pm. We decided that we were going to just walk in the back door & act like we owned the place. Needless to say, everyone (besides Brian & Brittney) was completely shocked!!!
